Build Your Confidence...

Words of wisdom say that it isn’t who you are that holds you back but it’s what you think about yourself and who you think you are not. Being able to trust in yourself is what enables you to push past your perceived limits and take on risk. Leading contenders for the first position in the many secrets to success are self trust and self confidence.

Life’s tough roads can put your strengths to the test.

Along the way you stumble, lose your way and look back on many mistakes you’ve made. Every experience can enrich your life and the knowledge you accumulate. Each lesson you learn will provide you with another set of tools to use to do battle with.

Having a winning mind set will enable you to channel all your energy to fulfilling your goals.

Of course there are things that you simply cannot control.  Outside factors that affect your decisions may change and while you try and cope with these you need also overcome your challenges and responsibilities.

Blaming others if your decisions produce outcomes that are not what you had hoped for is something losers tend to do. Just the term loser is horrible. It takes on even worse meanings if it’s an insult levied at you. Changes will happen.  It is just about how you handle them. Because some things are beyond your control you need to be aware of the fact that a Plan B is important to help with important decisions. It’s easy to find your entire pack of cards collapsing if your are not prepared for the changes that can occur.

Being able to get up after a fall will set you apart from all the ordinary people.  The harder the fall the more you will strive if you are a winner. Winners don’t quit. Even if you have bruised yourself during your fall, as a winner you get up and take the battle wounds along with you to remind yourself of your courage and tenacity.

Success only comes with some sacrifice on your behalf.

Thinking that success is easy is but a dream some people indulge in. We would all be hugely successful if that were the case. Winners put in more effort than anybody else. As a winner you would offer blood, sweat and tears without a second thought. Even when you feel there are too many forces working against you, you don’t let them break your spirit.  A broken spirit is a sure road to failure.

A further secret to success is your belief in your talents and abilities no matter what your critics have to say about that. You are the only person who know you and nobody else can understand you more than you do yourself. All rests in your knowledge and capacity to overcome the hurdles placed in your way to become the best you that is possible.

One thing is certain you can’t please everybody all of the time. Many people might wish to discourage you from moving forward. Learn how to disregard those voices and focus only on making those who do support you happy.

Keeping these three secrets in mind can help you become the confident person that you should be. Be aware that you can do it. Possibly it won’t be quite in the way that you wanted but the final point is that you can deliver. What distinguishes winners from the rest is their ability to have big dreams and to know that they can fulfill those dreams.

  1. Great post!

One thing that has held me back for years was a lack of belief in myself. I knew I could do things, but felt that I lacked the resources to get others to believe in me.

What changed for me and has helped me to overcome this is to start focusing in on the successes that I have been having and seeing what I can learn from those successes to try and improve myself in other areas. Sometimes, it’s just a small correction. But even that small correction (along with some others along the way) can help you get to where you want to go.
