Your personal journey to public speaking confidence

Welcome to a new more confident you. A person ready to take that very personal journey to achieving your public speaking goals.
This article is very in depth and important. The most in depth because you will be required to ask yourself some very personal questions and give frank, often revealing answers. Don’t worry – you are the only person who will ever see these answers.
It is also the most important because you need to know exactly where you are now, and where you intend to go. While we all started with some fear at the idea of speaking in public the degree and intensity of it varies between each person. This is one of the most common, debilitating fears known to humanity, but also one of the most personal.
We come to it from similar, but very individual, unique experiences. We want to achieve different objectives from sharing the same goal. Put simply; we all want to overcome our fear and deliver a confident public speech. For many this will be goal accomplished! They will have a new found confidence that will boost all areas of their lives.
If this is you then be sure that you can and will accomplish your goal if you persevere to the very end.
You may though want to use your new skills to get promotion at work, or make a career on the speaking circuit. Everyone’s ultimate goal is different so you need to be clear right now what your individual journey will be.
It may well change once you have started your journey as you may see brand new possibilities and change your outlook. Maybe you will realise that a career on the circuit will take you away from home and you are not willing to pay that price.
You may now think that being a professional speaker will answer your critics, but find out that the confidence you gain from your new skills will make their criticism irrelevant. Your composure will mean that you no longer have to prove yourself to anyone else or seek their approval.
This surely is the ultimate freedom for all of us. To be comfortable in who we are and to make decisions based purely on our own wants and needs.
The “getapplausenow” course can help you to achieve these goals.

Hi Andrew
You are so right… for each of us, developing public speaking skills is a very personal journey.
You mentioned the F word early on… Fear. And that is the thing most of us have to learn to control, not eliminate, but learn to control.
My advice to anyone would be to make a start, take that first step, and the sooner the better.

I had always felt that it is the lack of information or, content that is the reason for the fear of public speaking in an individual. But I have often seen that people who are good at creative writing also have that “fear” of public speaking. That means that is is just the lack of confidence and nothing else.
