Jon Gordon: I am great and very very busy and I would not want it any other way!

Jon Gordon: I am great and very very busy and I would not want it any other way!
Andrew Rondeau: Jon, you have built a very successful company. Tell me about your own personal experience of setting up your own company.
Jon Gordon: Like any business, it has taken time and a lot of positive energy to overcome obstacles and challenges. We have had triumphs and defeats but we never lost focus on our mission.
Andrew Rondeau: Today, what does your company offer and what is it that sets yours apart from the rest?
Jon Gordon: We offer tools that help people infuse themselves, their teams, companies, schools and organizations with positive energy. The kind of positive energy consisting of vision, optimism, trust, faith, enthusiasm, purpose and spirit that defines great leaders and their teams.
Andrew Rondeau: You have invested an incredible amount of time, money and energy into your own personal development journey. Who have been your most influential teachers and why?
Jon Gordon: Jesus, Ken Blanchard, Richard Bach, Wayne Dyer, Abraham Lincoln, Deepak Chopra, Max Lucado, Erwin McManus
Andrew Rondeau: Jon, you have enjoyed phenomenal success. How important has goal setting been to your overall success?
Jon Gordon: Very important. But not goal setting alone. It’s more so a vision of the road ahead. Goals are the result of the vision.
Andrew Rondeau: What motivates you to do the work that you do?
Jon Gordon: I am inspired by a calling to serve God and serve others.
Andrew Rondeau: What attributes do you believe make a successful leader?
Jon Gordon: Vision, focus, leads with enthusiasm, is driven by a bigger purpose. Inspires people to create a better future. Ability to communicate with others. Ability to tune out distractions and overcome negativity. Most of all: Positive Energy, live it and share it with others.
Andrew Rondeau: How is Personal Development different now, as opposed to when you started out in business?
Jon Gordon: People seem to be more knowledgeable about personal development
Andrew Rondeau: If you could recommend one book that all aspiring leaders should read, what would it be?
Jon Gordon: The One-Minute Manager by Ken Blanchard. The Greatest Salesman in the World by Og Mandino. In addition to the Energy Bus of course.
Andrew Rondeau: How do you see Personal Development changing over the next 5 years?
Jon Gordon: I believe people will get fed up at all the complicated programs that don’t work. There will be a return to simpler more powerful lessons as people seek the truth. In truth people will realize that the best solutions and most powerful lessons are often the simplest.
