Do you have new project that needs to get done? Perhaps it's a new proposal for a client or the first chapter of the book you have always wanted to write. Maybe it's a new song that has been floating in your head or a new business plan for your new business. If there is something that you need to do, but it's not getting done, one of the first places to start is to clear out the clutter around you and inside you.

Eliminate Clutter: Inside and Out

Do you have new project that needs to get done? Perhaps it's a new proposal for a client or the first chapter of the book you have always wanted to write. Maybe it's a new song that has been floating in your head or a new business plan for your new business. If there is something that you need to do, but it's not getting done, one of the first places to start is to clear out the clutter around you and inside you. Clutter can block precious new energy from flowing into your life by filling up your world with old stagnant energy that loves to build up and stay right where it is. Clutter in your life might include a messy house, a pile of papers on your desk, mail spread out all over the counter, a closet filled with old clothes you never wear or old salad dressings in your refrigerator. Whether you attack that to-do list, go through your piles of paper, clean up your desk, or throw out the trash in your car, you'll clear the physical energy around you and allow new energy to flow in. This makes you simply feel better. It's an energy thing. We are energy beings and when we free up old stagnant energy around our space we feel more lively and energized.

The same goes for mental clutter. When you get rid of toxic thoughts, toxic people and toxic beliefs in your life you eliminate the energetic clutter that holds you back. Where acupuncture helps eliminate the energy blockages in our body and enables a healthy flow of energy throughout our body, we have to apply a form of mental acupuncture to free up the energetic clutter in our life. Replace beliefs such as "bad things always happen to me" with "I accept all the great things in my life." Replace thoughts like "I hate the rain" to "I love the rain because it brings us water and life." This is one that I have worked on a lot. And to the people who are always being negative to you and filling your life with negative clutter, ask them to change. Try to help them change. If they are unwilling you just might have to let them off your bus.

This is your life and you deserve to clear the clutter whenever you feel your energy suffering. Once you clear your clutter you will feel more energized and alive. You will have new energy to start your project and create new success in your life. Try it and you'll feel the difference.

Action Steps

1. Pick one space in your house and/or office that is cluttered. Organize it and throw out the clutter. Observe how you feel when you are finished.

2. Identify one toxic thought or belief in your life and let go of the clutter. Feel how your energy increases.

3. Read the books "Clear Your Cutter with Feng Shui" by Karen Kingston and "Feng Shui Your Life" by Jayme Barrett.
