"I'm
willing... I'm ready... I'm available to more good than I have ever imagined or
experienced at any time in my life."
What a
fantastic affirmation. I first heard this particular affirmation a few days ago
while listening to one of the CDs in the Life Visioning series by Reverend
Michael Beckwith.
You may
recall Reverend Beckwith from the movie The Secret. Until I watched The Secret
I had never heard of him. Although I felt as if I had just discovered something
wonderful through this introduction to his work, he has been sharing his
messages for decades. He has impacted the lives of millions of people
throughout the world in a very positive way.
The truth is
that many people are doing great works around the globe. Just because we don't
hear of them does not mean they are not having a profound impact on the lives
of others.
How often is
there a school teacher who has a major impact on his or her students and yet,
we won't here of them?
Or what about
the mother who teaches her children about infinite possibility?
Maybe it's
the grocery clerk who is always cheerful and has a kind word to say to every
customer who comes through their checkout line.
One does not
need be world renowned to have an incredible impact on others. Every day we
have this opportunity. It is only a matter of raising our awareness and
consciousness to realize every person we come in contact with is potentially
someone we can brighten their day with by a kind word or a smile.
Now this may
sound Pollyanna to some. That's fine. If being kind to others is Pollyanna I
can only hope I will continually embrace this fact.
One way to
become more aware of what we are doing day in and day out is to affirm the
goodness that surrounds us and the goodness we can do for others.
The moment I
heard "I'm willing... I'm ready... I'm available to more good than I have
ever imagined or experienced at any time in my life," I realized this is a
powerful affirmation of good. The more I affirm this statement, feel the
emotion around the statement, believe the statement, the more good I will bring
to others.
I would
invite you to write this affirmation down, read it several times throughout the
next 48 hours and watch the magic happen.
"I'm
willing... I'm ready... I'm available to more good than I have ever imagined or
experienced at any time in my life."
