CREATIVITY AND QUALITY

Conformists are good at playing the game. At school they quickly learn how to pass tests, how to please the teacher, and how to copy when necessary. Later in life they are also good at assessing the game that is in play and then good at playing that game.


When quality programs have been running for some time the fizz goes out of them and they can become boring. But that is only a minor problem compared to the more fundamental issues that I intend to cover here.


Time For Thinking

How much of your time do you spend thinking? 

By ‘thinking’ I mean mental activity that results in action, or analysis of a subject, insight or new idea


Traffic congestion in cities is an excellent problem for creative effort. Solutions are likely to be as expensive and impractical as underground railway systems.

Team one is the values team. The role of this team is to find and figure out values that matter.

There are situations with definite answers.

Six Thinking Hats

Everyone knows what a bottleneck is. A bottleneck is a constriction or restriction on flow.

Six Thinking Hats

You and your team members can learn how to separate thinking into six valuable functions and roles. Each thinking role is identified with a colored symbolic "thinking hat." By mentally wearing and switching "hats," you can easily focus or redirect thoughts, the conversation, or the meeting.


SERIOUS CREATIVITY

Serious Creativity will seem a contradiction in terms for many people. Everyone knows that creativity has to be fun, lively, and crazy - so how can we have serious creativity?
