Our hotel awaits us!

Our hotel awaits us!

To successfully get through the Kenyan customers, we had to complete 5 different forms.

Five!

Each one of them asking for similar information including passport number and place of stay while in Kenya.

But it didn’t actually take that long to get through the customers. It was pretty efficient and within an hour we were on the coach with our suitcases.

As the Manager, are you taking risks?

As the Manager, are you taking risks?

Management in the modern context in the developed world has had to grapple with many changes. Most of the traditional management styles as preached by the management gurus are no longer relevant anymore.

How do you manage effectively in a work environment that is constantly changing?

Do your traditional skills still cope when markets evolve constantly, credit dries up, customers are taking fright and not spending, the Universities and Colleges are not teaching the right skills you need?

The list of modern day business woes continues ad nauseam.

ffmedal bravery 242x300 Building Personal Courage and ResilienceThe word courage means to be able to face fears with ones head held high. It is not the absence of fear that defines us as being brave. It is true that people experience fear every day and that it can be so strong that it paralyses them.

We are allowed to feel these things. In fact, it’s good that we do. It would mean we wouldn’t be human if we didn’t feel emotions, especially fear.  Showing that we can face and overcome fear does not require us to sacrifice our lives. In fact, all people have the makings of being a real hero and in their own little way can show that they are willing to face all the trials that life throws in their way.

Leading contenders for the first position in the many secrets to success are self trust and self confidence.

Life’s tough roads can put your strengths to the test.
